Meet your dentists
A father who opened the practice in 1976 and a daughter who joined it in 2008. Both are Marquette-trained, both have spent their careers learning past the degree, and together they completed the Airway Mini Residency, an intensive course in airway, breathing and sleep.
Dr. John’s practice, Dr. Kate’s research, and Dr. Jackson’s interest in digital dentistry. All three have taken their skills well beyond Verona, from Honduras to Kenya.
A Wisconsin native who opened his practice in Verona in 1976. One of the first dentists in Wisconsin to offer CEREC same-day crowns, and he has not placed a silver filling since 1996. Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, 2024.

More than 1,400 hours of continuing education, a past CEREC Doctors mentor, and research faculty at Marquette. Studying sleep medicine through the University of Oxford, as the only dentist in her cohort.

From a first visit before a child’s first birthday to periodontal care that treats gum disease as the whole-body problem it is.
Straighter teeth for adults who missed out on braces, and children who would rather not wear them. Brighter teeth in one visit, or at home.
For early decay only. No drilling: it works by stimulating the tooth’s own remineralization, and it is offered where it is appropriate rather than as a matter of course.
A small post replaces the root of the missing tooth, and a crown goes on top once it heals. One tooth, a group, or the anchor for a denture.
A fixed, screw-retained arch in place of a removable denture. A temporary goes in on the day of surgery, and the finished arch after three to six months of healing.
A records appointment first to check it is the right match. Most of the treatment then happens at home, with periodic check-ins at the office.
Crowns & technology
In 2002 Main Street Dentists became one of the first offices in Wisconsin to use CEREC. The tooth is prepared, and the permanent crown is designed and made in the office, in the same appointment.
Airway, breathing & sleep
Every patient gets an airway screening, following American Dental Association guidelines. It is the heart of the practice’s airway work, which it runs as the Wisconsin Airway Institute.
Tried CPAP and could not stick with it? Does your snoring keep your partner awake? Oral Appliance Therapy is a comfortable, non-invasive treatment for obstructive sleep apnea that opens the airway while you sleep.
Snoring, mouth breathing, bedwetting, restless sleep, crowded teeth or dark circles under the eyes? Told they will “outgrow” it? Early diagnosis, from as young as age 2, can permanently increase a child’s airway as they grow.
Tongue-tie releases and myofunctional therapy, exercises that help you breathe, speak, chew and even sleep better. “Tongue up, lips closed, healthy breathing through the nose.”
Honduras & beyond
In 2009 Dr. John joined Sharing Resources Worldwide and, with the generosity of his staff, patients and corporate sponsors, opened a free dental clinic in Siguatepeque, Honduras, for children and adults.

Common questions
Main Street Dentists is a Delta Dental Premier provider, and most insurance plans are accepted. If you have no dental insurance, the Dental Membership Club covers your preventive care for a monthly fee, and CareCredit financing is available too.
Following American Dental Association guidelines, every patient here is screened for airway problems. Signs include morning headaches, clenching, snoring, mouth breathing, poor sleep and crowded teeth, and in children bedwetting, restless sleep and unusual sleep positions. If something shows up, the doctors work with medical colleagues, including a sleep physician, on the next step.
Oral Appliance Therapy is a comfortable, non-invasive treatment for obstructive sleep apnea, and for many patients a real alternative to a CPAP machine. Even people with severe sleep apnea may benefit from an appliance combined with CPAP or other treatment. Call and ask.
Before their first birthday. The first visit takes about thirty minutes: a look at their history, some hands-on coaching for cleaning their teeth, then a knee-to-knee exam with your child on your lap, checking tooth and jaw development, the airway, and any habits like thumb or pacifier use.
